This whimsical hot air balloon wall hanging plate was made using a reverse decoupage technique on an Arcoroc France plate, the classic Art Deco-style octagonal shape and the crystal-clear, tempered glass made by the brand is the ideal canvas. Crafters apply art on the underside so you can view the image through the glass, while the top remains a functional, food-safe (or decorative) surface.
This is a fun, one of a kind (?) piece of wall art. Hang using a 10" plate hanger (not included) and add some whimsy to your decor.

C O N D I T I O N
Great vintage condition, no chips or cracks, just some signs of it being hand-painted and decoupaged, including some paint loss in the gold trim, some visible brush strokes. There's black paint in each of the lines that lead to the points on the octagonal frame--unsure if this is a flaw but felt worth mentioning. There are a few small dings on the backside of the plate that show through on the front left side right under the balloon to the upper left of the basket.
