This 1920s antique pair of bookends features a girl drinking from a lion's head fountain, framed with an art nouveau floral pattern. They have a dark whimsical storybook sentiment. These book ends are made of cast iron with a bronze finish. They have been around for at least 100 years and have developed a perfect, rich patina.
These will hold-up the books on your shelf or desk with style and functionality. These would look great alongside dark academia, cottagecore or whimigoth decor and would make a perfect gift for book lovers.

Good vintage condition with rich patina throughout but the camera picked up a verdigris (green/blue) hue but that is definitely more of an undertone than overt. The photos that show that are ones I took to document a bit of a dusty appearance on the base---these have been cleaned but not polished.
please keep in mind when buying any of our items that vintage means they’ve lived long lives before finding their way to you and are preloved unless otherwise specified. signs of wear, use and age are to be expected and add to the character of the piece.
