Art Deco Lurelle Guild for Kensington aluminum 18" "Constellation" tray features a raised rim with 21 finely-crafted constellation artworks, some signs of the zodiac and more. The inner bowl has a stylized sunburst centerpiece with curved waves of stars pin-wheeling outwards, made of a bright matte silver aluminum alloy.
The tray is a rare style of Machine Age design from 1939 or 1940 and is considered an important American contribution to modern design and decorative arts.
The tray was designed to be used as a canapé tray or sandwich platter but is often used today as wall decor. Great gift for an astrology lover or Art Deco collector.
