Plaire, 1946 Album de Luxe No III is a large quarto paperback volume of the French fashion magazine published in the 1940s. It's heavily illustrated with stunning full color and black and white illustrations in and out of text, 370 pages, rare edition.
The magazine showcases creations from D'Orsay, Chanel, Lancome, Rolex, Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Patou, Manquin, and more. It includes haute couture designs, ready to wear, lifestyle photography. It also contains lushly illustrated designer perfume and cosmetics advertisements as well as some from Chesterfield cigarettes and Cointreau liqueur.
This magazine contains the most beautiful collection of vintage print art---fashion drawings, photography and vintage advertising in one publication that I have ever come across, as both a fashion major and antiques dealer.

Good used vintage condition. Some wear to the cover, some rippling, shelf and edge wear and a few marks but it remains good, interior shows some wear, some rippling, foxing, tanning, the occasional spot or crease but overall pretty well preserved for a 80 year old softcover.
