CONDITION
In good used vintage condition with dust jacket. The dust jacket has a dark stain on the cover, maybe coffee that bleeds a little onto the cloth hardcover but barely and caused a small ripple along the top edge of the dust jacket. There's sun fading, some normal shelf and edge wear.

From the inside and back cover:
"When I asked Aristotle Onassis to tell me about his very first job, it was like saying the secret word on the old Groucho Marx Show, the one that brought down the floppy duck," writes television's Barbara Walters. And in this guidebook to the art and enjoyment of good conversation, the female star of NBC's Today program. draws on her own extensive interviewing experience and her private social encounters to help you talk with ease to tycoons, celebrities, VIP's, bosses, dates, men, women, children, old people, babies... you name it, you'll be able to talk to it.
In eleven anecdote-filled chapters, each covering specific types of people, Miss Walters explains the simple conversational devices by which she herself overcame the terror of meeting new and intimidating people and learned to get beyond small talk to meaningful communication.
Her advice is both practical and entertaining and will enable anyone to talk easily with anybody about almost any-thing...and enjoy himself while doing it."

"I loved it. The chapters flew by, and I read every word. The book has so much of Barbara's own special warmth, wisdom, and charm, and it is so informative and helpful too. It's also very kind-a rare quality these days."-Dorothy Rodgers

"I'm dazzled by Barbara Walters' book! It is a wonderful distillation of her experiences, and her wisdom and her kindness come through in a grandest kind of style. I'm frankly envious! Why didn't I think of it?"-Kitty Carlisle Hart
