Rare vintage premium leather brand, Schell Leather Company 17" portfolio or laptop case in the perfect shade of saddle brown. Case has brass tone smooth operating zipper, the vinyl interior has three file pockets and one larger zipper pocket. The exterior has a gold tone imprinted monogram in the bottom corner, J.H.B.
Internally stamped "Schell Brand" and an internal soft tag reads "Manufacturer's guarantee, Tanners Council of America. This article is covered with top grain cowhide."
My 13" laptop fits in one of the file slots and it fits securely in the internal zipper compartment but you can't zip it closed in there.
The Schell Leather Company was a manufacturer of leather goods originally based in Cincinnati, Ohio founded by Albert and Charles J. Schell in 1865.

Vintage, broken in condition with signs of use and age. A lot of scratches in the leather and wear in the corners. The interior is in really great shape. Overall the case looks great if you're into a cool broken in look.
