Vintage print of Venice painting by Italian painter Gerolamo Varese, a Ligurian painter who lived between 1860-1939, depicting the iconic architecture of Venice, including the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Campanile. The original work is of excellent pictorial quality and notable light and the print truly looks like a painting. The print comes in an intricately carved gilded frame.

C O N D I T I O N
In good antique condition with virtually no gilt loss to the frame, and only very small discreet chips on the bottom middle of the frame. It looks like there's maybe some foxing on the upper left and in the sky. I can't tell if it's on the frame glass or on the print itself and attempted to take it out of the frame but it's nailed in there and the paper backing of the frame started to basically crumble as shown, I left it on because there are some markings on it. It's priced as if it's on the print. It looks like the artist is depicting a fire in the building to left of St. Mark's so it's possible the marks are supposed to be bits of ash but I don't think so.
please keep in mind when buying any of our items that vintage means they’ve lived long lives before finding their way to you and are preloved unless otherwise specified. signs of wear, use and age are to be expected and add to the character of the piece.
