Aztec Calendar, Handmade Ceramic Mayan and Aztec Hanging Wall Sculptures, Made in Mexico

Handmade wall relief sculpture wall hanging reproductions of famous pieces of Aztec art. These fantastic and incredibly detailed copies are made of clay and sculpted by skilled craftspeople and sold as souvenirs to travelers in Mexico. These are all from the late 1990s or early 2000s.

The largest piece is the Aztec Stone of the Sun calendar, also known as the Stone of the Sun, the calendar was created during the Kingdom of the 6th Monarch Axayactl in a giant stone measuring 3.60 mts in diameter weighing 25 tons. It was dedicated to their principal god, the Sun.

The two smaller pieces have descriptions on the back in both Spanish and English that read:
Disco de chinkultic, Chinkultic disc, ball player score glyph, also represents the solar movements and their Goddess, Ciapas, Mexico, 591 D.C (B.D.)

Piedra de los Sacrificios, Sacrifice Stone, representation of a human sacrifice offering a warrior's heart to pacify the anger of their gods. This is a strange scene, because there are personages from the Maya and Tolteca Culture, gold disk from the sacred cenote of Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico.

C O N D I T I O N
All in vintage condition, showing normal signs of use and age, some smudges, and discoloration from dirt over the years. The deepest parts are dirty and I haven't cleaned them because they look cool and aged that way, but you certainly could restore the smaller two to the natural off-white tone. The larger one is darker in tone so unsure if it would clean the same way, the nose on that one is a little discolored. Calendar has a loop and is ready to hang, other two don't have an attached hanging mechanism.
