Vintage recipe book, Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, is a comprehensive culinary classic covering the basics of French cooking, striking a balance between the complexities of haute cuisine and the practicalities of the American home cook.
Traditional favorites such as beef bourguignon, bouillabaisse, and cassoulet are featured and some French baking classics are included as well.
Ahead of the more in depth chapters, the book has sections on cooking basics: kitchen equipment, definitions, ingredients, measurements, temperatures, cutting and wines.

C O N D I T I O N
Book is in used condition. Most of these were heavily used by their owners and show signs of wear and age. This book shows common surface imperfections such as markings, fading, age related toning etc. commonly found with used books. Binder cover shows signs of wear and discoloration, present on front, back and along the spine. The spine is faded, shows wear which a crack along each side and some loose thread.
Some light stains along the pages' edges, a darker one on the back upper corner of the pages.
The previous owner's name is on the inside in marker.
