Beautiful art book for coffee table or reference on the post-impressionist artist, Paul Gauguin.
First Edition, hardcover reference or coffee table book measures just over 14 inches in height includes 176 pages with index printed in Italy, 1990, first edition.
From the inside cover, "Gauguin contains 90 large format full color plates combining well known works with more rarely seen paintings. Full commentaries on each plate and a comprehensive introduction explore Gauguin's developing artistic style and give an insight into the work of one of the most fascinating and legendary artistic personalities of the late nineteenth century."
CONDITION:
Cover/dust has shelf & edge wear and some scratches/indents, aptly there is some paint on back dust jacket. There is some light yellow fading discoloration on the edges of the white inside cover and on the edge of the pages, spine is intact, no loose pages. Overall looks good, lightly used see photos for reference.
