Antique Victorian punch paper perforated needlepoint embroidery framed motto sampler: God Bless Our Home Sign with original Black Forest style folk are carved wooden frame
This Victorian hand embroidery is done on perforated paper. It says “God Bless Our Home.” It is done in graduated colored yarn and the entire piece is backed with crinkled foil so the silver sparkles through the holes when the light hits it.
Measures Approximately 29”W x 16”H
Condition:
Ready to hang in antique condition with signs of wear. It’s over 100 years old and is very fragile. Overall it looks really good but we like to go into as specific detail as possible about any flaws and inconsistencies and have listed them below.
There’s some wear on the blue paint portion of the frame, can’t tell if it’s scratched or if it’s gold paint from the center portion of the frame because there’s some blue paint on the interior of the wooden part of the frame. There are some small chips on the outer edge of the wooden frame.
There’s no wear on the actual embroidery, but there is a small water stain on the bottom right and two ridges where the piece doesn’t lay completely flat in between the two “s” in bless and in the “h” in home.
please keep in mind when buying any of our items that vintage means they’ve lived long lives before finding their way to you and are preloved unless otherwise specified. signs of wear, use and age are to be expected and add to the character of the piece.
