Vintage Infant Jesus of Prague statue for display or home altar. This catholic statue is made of chalkware with lace vestments and comes with/in an arched metal stand with a ring around the middle. The arch portion of the stand is wrapped with palm leaves and the base of the stand is a shallow bowl/plate. The statue rests on the edges of the bowl and the arch supports the head. I've never seen anything like this so I'm not sure if I'm using the stand as intended but it looks like its there to support the statue and structure the vestments, definitely watch the video. The lace portion covers the front of the statue and the orange cape covers the back.
Condition:
The vestments are hand sewn lace and satin or silk and are very fragile, the color of the lace varies a little from age and exposure to the sun.
The crown on the head and the fingers on the hand are in tact with is rare with this style statue particularly one this old. The globus cruciger is chipped on the right facing side and a few spots of the blue chalkware paint have gotten on the lace sleeve surrounding it, which has a small tear in it.
Measurements:
The statue stands 13" high including the base and with the vestiments fully displayed it’s about 11” wide but you could make them more narrow or even tuck them into the metal ring.
